What everyone else charges in 2026
Read enough MSP pricing guides and they all land in the same place: $100 to $250 per user, per month, with the middle of the market at $150 to $200 for a plan that includes real security. Here's how that breaks down by what you actually get. Per-device pricing, where it's still used, runs about $100 to $400 a month per server, $50 to $125 per workstation, $30 to $200 per firewall and $50 to $200 per switch. We don't sell monitoring-only. A plan that watches your servers but doesn't answer the phone seems useless to us. (It will tell you about the fire. Very reliably. Then it's your fire.)
Comparing Quotes
Five questions that turn any quote into a real number
Two MSP quotes are almost never measuring the same thing. These questions fix that. Pay attention to which ones get a straight answer.

"What's the all-in cost per user, per month, including security and backup?" Divide the total by headcount. That's your real comparison number.

"What's your critical response time, in writing?" "Usually pretty fast" is not a time. Ours is under 15 minutes.

"Does the price change if the scope doesn't?" Get the answer in the contract, not on a call.

"Are after-hours calls and onsite visits billed extra?" This is where cheap quotes get expensive.

"Who owns the admin accounts and backups?" If the answer is anything but "you," keep looking.

"Is there an on-boarding/exit fee?" It should be "no", otherwise, expect additional charges.
